LITTLE CYLINDER DESK, Late Louis XVI period, in rosewood veneer with butterfly wing marquetry and light and stained wood marquetry, decorated with a pair of doves on a quiver trophy and a flamed torch in Greek and filleted frames. It opens with a cylinder revealing an interior with a pigeonhole and three drawers, and a sliding top in eggplant leather gilded with small irons, and three drawers on the belt. Openwork brass gallery top (reported) Sheath legs with bronze sabots and molding 103 x 97.5 x 49.5 cm (Accents and missing veneers, replacquered sliding top, missing sabots on later legs)
