Plaque probably in red cornelian carved in bas-relief representing three children with birds and a goat in rocaille foliage. Southern Italy, Sicily, Messina, early 18th century Height: 5.5 cm Width: 7.8 cm In a silver frame (accident and restorations) This rare plate can be compared with the decoration of the paliotto, the altar frontal, illustrating the life of Saint Benedict, in the Messina Regional Museum in 1714.
