CANON with the coat of arms of Michel Avice de Mougon (1713-1779), lieutenant of the marshals of France, and his wife Perrine Catherine Forien (1721-1798).
Bronze shaft, tuliped at the mouth, with two tourrillons and four reinforcement rings, adorned with a banner marked "LARIVAN".
Chased dolphin handles, rounded breech plug.
Wooden carriage with spoke wheels (wear). Iron wheel rims and fittings.
A.B.E. 18th century barrel (circa 1760). Nineteenth-century stock.
Barrel length: 59 cm.
Muzzle diameter: 3.5 cm.
Total length with stock: 104 cm.
(Traces of oxidation, used condition, some missing parts and accidents).

History: Michel Avice de Mougon (1713-1779), seigneur de Surimeau, lieutenant of the marshals of France in Niort. He was also a musketeer. He married Perrine Catherine Forien (1721-1798) around 1753.
