Oval pommel. Wooden spindle covered with twisted iron filigree. Single-branch hilt (top part missing), with two coiled quillons, donkey step and chased shell with daylight, decorated with leafy foliage and fruit. Long, thin blade with flattened tip and double gutter at the heel, signed.
As is. Italy. Early 17th century (heavy pitting and oxidation).
